07 Sep Autumn Splendor
For a backpacker – well, for this one, anyway – there is no better time to go hiking than the fall. Besides the richly muted leaves and skies, there is the perfect weather, the thinning crowds and the peaceful campsites. I was lucky enough to get in some trail therapy in Arapaho National Forest in August, and will be leading a group trip to the Grand Canyon in October. Don’t let the Coronavirus rain on your parade! Chicago Weekend Explorers takes all the precautions – masked up, socially distanced, and out in the sweet, fresh air of some of America’s best national parks. You’ve been good – well, pretty good – about following CDC rules, now join us on a trip to refresh all five senses. No planning necessary on your part, let us do all the work: trail selection and transport there, cooking, itinerary, tent set up, we got this! Shoot us an email or hit us up at 312-687-5042 and let us plan a getaway to one of America’s pristine national parks, or just a relaxing weekend on some trails within an hour or two of Chicago!
