Wow, what a summer that was! Sometimes we ask ourselves what happened, other times we marveled at what didn’t! Here we find ourselves, restless and in deep need of the company of new friends and fresh vistas. Well, Chicago Weekend Explorers has just the solution! We are so happy to finally announce our first tour of 2020, and it is our our most scenic tour yet! Join us for a walking and biking tour through nature preserves, a traditional Japanese garden, and a beachfront bike trail with sweeping panoramas of Chicago. Tickets for the September 5th excursion – which starts in Hyde Park at 11 AM – are on sale now!
Chicago’s motto is “Urbs in Horto” and we will show you the true essence of a “City in a Garden”. Our first (and so far only) tour of 2020 starts at the Museum of Science and Industry and meanders onward to the South Shore Cultural Center, green and tranquil home to boardwalk nature trails, a lush golf course and stately, prewar elegance. In order to ensure that we are in compliance with Illinois Department of Health public safety standards, only 6 guests will be able to take the tour.
